Hawaii Tartan Mini Sash - OUT OF STOCK

An elegant mini sash in the Hawaii Tartan, custom made for Maui Celtic. Approx. 40 x 6 inches, fringed at both ends, hemmed on each side. Made of a soft polyester blend which resists wrinkles. Light and comfortable to wear.

Ideal for ladies who don't need a full sash, but still want a splash of tartan. This smaller version is designed to be fashioned into a rosette at one end, and pinned over the right shoulder.

To make the rosette, fold back the end of the sash (equal to the width), and crimp the section with a band or pin in the middle, forming the shape shown above, which is then pinned with a suitable brooch.

Traditionally, the only time women wear a sash pinned on the left shoulder, is if they are themselves chiefs/chieftains or their wives, or wives of Highland Regiment Colonels.
